Michael Jackson Immortal World Tour

Hey Fashion Buddies,

As some of you may already know, my family and I are in Las Vegas for the next few days to bring in the New Year.  My brother bought me a ticket to the Cirque du Soleil Michael Jackson Immortal World Tour production.

All I can say is that the show was AMAZING!!!!

Here is what I was wearing for the show:
Since I was going to see a show that paid tribute to "The King of Pop"  I decided to wear something that was shiny and shimmery!

You all have seen this dress once before.  I wore it by itself back in October.  Click here to see how the dress looks by itself.  I absolutely LOVE these thigh high boots!  I always look forward to wearing them during the winter months!
I bought the dress in October and I recently saw this blazer in Forever 21 earlier this month.  I pictured in my mind that it would be a good match with the dress.....I was right!!!!.  With the weather being a lot cooler, the blazer added a nice touch to the sleeveless  dress.
This picture was taken in front of the entrance to the theatre.  There were sooooooooo many people at this show!  Last night was the final show from this production, in Las Vegas.  The great news is that it'll be coming to a city near you very soon!!!!!!  I will be going back to see it with my boo and maybe with my friends too!

We were prohibited from taking pictures and videos but I just had to snap a picture!!!  This was after the show had concluded.  If this show comes to an arena near you, I highly recommend you see it!  It will be worth your money spent!  That's all for now.  I had some down time in my room and thought I'd update you all!

As always thank you so much for taking the time to read my blog.  I'll be back very soon!  Much love!

OOTD for Lunch @ Taco Taco Cafe!

Hello Lovelies,

The weather is getting cooler and cooler here in San Antone and I'm loving it!  It's always a nice change from the heat in Sunny Florida!  A good friend and I decided to meet for lunch and here is what I was wearing:

I love layering my clothes in the winter!!!!  Don't you?

I think my wardrobe is probably much cuter in the winter time too!
Which season is your favorite to dress for?

Being the foodie that I am, naturally the Food Network is one of my favorite channels to watch.  One of the shows I love to watch is Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives (Triple "D")with Guy Fieri!  One of the restaurants he showcased was Taco Taco Cafe here in San Antonio!
When my friend and I arrived, I was excited to see that they have been voted the "Best Tacos in America".  With this type of advertising, I was sure to enjoy my lunch....

More raving reviews!!!
Not to mention the long line we had to wait in....MUST BE GOOD RIGHT?

Oh here is the little lady that was on "Triple D" with Guy
Ok so on to the food.......

We were given complimentary chips and salsa.....or something like it.  The salsa came with a spoon because it was runny like a soup.  I don't know about you but I like my salsa thick enough to stick to the chip on its own. <side-eye #1>

This place is known for having "the best tacos in America" especially their puffy tacos, so I ordered the puffy beef taco.  Now the waitress asked if I wanted it made with flour or corn tortillas and I said flour, but I got corn which made the taco taste like a tamale......I don't like tamales.....at all. <side-eye #2>  Needless to say, I wasn't impressed at all! At least they looked good.  The spanish rice on the side was somewhat tasty.  I didn't even touch the refried beans.

My friend Nika ordered good ole fashion crispy tacos and traded me one for a puffy taco.  These were much better, but ummmmmm....I definitely wouldn't say the best I ever eaten. The tacos I make at home have more flavor.

Well at the end of the day, I still had a great time catching up with my hometown bestie.  As for Taco Taco Cafe, I would have to give them a grade of a C-.  Maybe they were having an off-day.  Anywho, I'm off to Vegas everyone so stay tuned and I will talk to you all very soon.

Happy Holidays!!!

Merry Christmas Loves!!!!

I pray that all of you are enjoying time with the ones you love during this joyous time of year! This will be a quick post to show you what  I wore to church service last night:
I was very nippy in TX last night and I couldn't be happier!  Christmas just doesn't seem right if it's not at least cold out.
Here is my look with out the coat.

I know that Ross Dress for Less isn't as great in one city as it may be in another (I know from experience) but the one I go to never disappoints me!!!  Love that store!!!

These have become a favorite of mine!

Body Central has really cute earrings for $3.90!!!!!!!  Gotta love a good deal!

I have read so many things about Christmas and what it means for different people.  For me Jesus will always be the "reason for the season".  It is also a time to create lasting memories with the ones I love most.

Again, I pray that you all were blessed on this glorious day and that your New Year brings all the wonderful things you hope for!

Before I go, I HAD TO share what my AWESOME brother did for me this Christmas!!!

I was most definitely a "King of Pop" fan....still am and Cirque du Soleil has a show in Vegas dedicated to Michael Jackson!!!  My brother got me a ticket to the show!!!!
SOooo here's the kicker....the show is in 2 days and ummmm, eerrrr, I didn't plan on going to Vegas this year for New Years, so here was my next surprise....(Hence the memo to "Flip Over")

Is that an AMAZING Christmas gift or what!?!?!?!? My fam said that "Vegas just wouldn't be the same without" yours truly!  So you know ya girl will be posting pics from my Vegas New Years 2012! Stay Tuned!

Everyone be blessed!

"I ROCK ROUGH & STUFF WITH MY AFRO PUFF!" and Cheddar's (San Antonio)

Hey Dolls,

I want to start by giving a BIG WAVE and WELCOME to all of my new followers!!!!  I am always so humbled and amazed that people are interested in my blog!  I appreciate you all , both new and old!!!

I have made it home to TX for the holidays!  I am so happy to be around my family, you just don't know!!!  Yesterday my mommy and I went shoe shopping!!!!!!!!!!!!! There is a store here called MJM Designer Shoes and I yearn to go there everytime I come home because ofcourse we don't have one in the city I live in. It is a smorgasbord of incredible designer shoes at a fraction of the original cost!!!!

Here is what I was wearing.....Oh and YES I'm rocking my natural hair in a puff ponytail!!!
I had to wear my flat comfy boots that were easy to take off and put on!
My mom is a pretty good photographer!!!  The pictures always come out so clear when she takes them!

Here's my look with the peacoat on....although the weather isn't as cold as it normally is this time of year.
And another...
I found 3 great pairs of shoes and I can't wait to show you guys!!!

Now on to some "Good Eats"!

My mom's B-day was on the 18th and we took her to Cheddars Casual Cafe.
As you can see from this picture the line was out the door.
The decor on the inside is so cool!  They had a really neat aquarium on the inside.

This is a casual dining restaurant with handmade food at an exceptional value, just like the menu says!!!

The food was pretty good and if I'm not mistaken all four of our meals were each under $10. Here's what we had:

Cocktails for starters....

  • Classic Top Shelf Margarita-My Fav
  • Mango Strawberry Frozen Margarita-Mom
  • Some Crazy Drink I forgot the name of-My Brother
  • Old Fashion Lager-Dad

Grilled Tilapia and Shrimp w/ Corn off the Cob and Green Beans (Mom)

Chicken Fried Chicken w/ loaded Mashed Potatoes and Corn off the Cob (Brother)

Baby Back Ribs w/ Baked Potato and Broccoli (Dad)

Chicken and Waffles (ME)  I have to admit that Gladys
(Gladys Knights Chicken and Waffles in ATL, Ga) has got me spoiled because these did NOT do the job....they weren't terrible though :)

Cheddar's Casual Café on Urbanspoon

My mom enjoyed her evening!  Those red velvet cupcakes flew all the way from Florida with me courtesy of Cami Cakes.  Those of you who have had these little babies can understand!!!  Had to for my mommy!

Talk to you all later!

Breakfast Anyone?

Hey Dolls,

Over the weekend I did a little Christmas shopping and needed to make sure I was comfy!  I intended on doing a lot of walking.  I only have one picture, because I didn't really plan on taking any but the Winter Wonderland that was setup in the mall made a nice background.

We had breakfast too, one of my meals of the day.......well all meals of the day are my fav!!!  We went to Bob Evans.
It is so cozy!!!
I have never been here before but I REALLY REALLY LIKE IT!!!!  Here is what we had to eat:

Endless Vanilla Cappucino

This was my dish and I don't remember the name of it but it was a biscuit topped with eggs, spinach, bacon, onions, bell peppers, tomatoes, scallions, and cheese.....OMG it was soooooo GOOD!!!  I didn't eat the biscuit though.

Do you see all of that yumminess!!!

Here is what else we had, Farmer's Breakfast!
Instead of the biscuit, I ate a slice of french toast instead!  YUM!

Great day!  Breakfast and shopping!!!! My type of day!!!
Talk to you later.

Who's That in All That Blackkkk!!!! :)

Hi Dolls,

I went to another Christmas Dinner last weekend.  The attire called for all black or black and red or black and green..  I opted for ALL BLACK!
  • Blouse:  JC Penny's
  • Pencil Skirt: Ross
  • Black Stockings: Marshall's
  • Heels:  Penny Loves Kenny via Ross
Here is a close up of the blouse.  I love this blouse.  My wondeful man gave it to me for my valentine's day along with the same one in turquoise, one of my favorite colors.

Even closer...love the ruffles! :)
Earrings:  Body Central

I think I did a good job with my make-up this evening.  What do you guys think?

Here were the accesories that you can't see in the other pictures.

  • Chain bracelet:  Tiffany's & Co.
  • Silver Clasp Bracelet:  Jewelry Party
That's all!  The dinner was very nice and it made me look forward to going home for Christmas this weekend.  I LOVE CHRISTMAS TIME!!!

Talk to you all soon.
