A weekend in Orlando! Oh and yes the big hair is BACK!!!

Hi guys!

I decided to go to Orlando this weekend to do a little shopping.  As you all know there's no H&M where I live so I have to get my "fix" when I can!  LOL!  I also wanted to pick up a few items I've been wanting from IKEA which is also non-present in my city. :(

Nevertheless I didn't eat anywhere special but I did stay at the DoubleTree Hotel

and I was pleasantly surprised to find that they treat their guests with the most yummy chocolate chip and walnut cookies!!!

I was pretty happy about the Chocolate treat!
Hmmmm...maybe I was a little too excited about these cookies LOL!!!
This was a really pretty hotel so I took a few pics on the grounds.  You may recognize the top....

What's Cooking w/ Trice! (Marinated Chicken/Orzo/and Asparagus)

Hey guys!

Im back with another quick, easy, and healthy meal!  Marinated Chicken breast, Orzo, and Asparagus!!!
Here's what you'll need:
  1. Italian Dressing
  2. Thinly Sliced Chicken Breast
  3. 2 cloves of garlic (chopped)
  4. Salt, Pepper, Oregano
  5. Orzo
  6. Chicken Stock
  7. Aparagus
  8. Extra Virgin Olive Oil

1.) Lay your Chicken breast on a cookie sheet or in a shallow   dish.  Season your chicken lightly.
2.) Coat the chicken with Italian Dressing (Which makes for a FANTASTIC marinade!!!)
3.) Cover the chicken with aluminum foil and put in a preheated oven (350degrees) and let cook.

1.) Cut of fthe bottom pieces of the asparagus because that part isn't very appetizing.
2.) Lay the asparagus put on a cookie dish.
3.) Drizzle Olive Oil all over the asparagus
4.) Season the asparagus with salt, pepper, and the chopped garlic
5.) Mix up with your hands to get the seasoning all over the asparagus.
6.) Stick in the oven along with the chicken and cook!
THE ORZO (Orzo is a pasta that looks and kinda tastes like rice!!!)
1.) In a saucepan, heat a can of chicken stock
2.) add 1 cup of orzo to the chicken stock
3.) stir until the orzo is al dente

Plate and serve!  I add a drizzle of the heated italian dressing over the orzo with a pinch of oregano.  This meal takes no time and it's delicious!

If you all decide to try this, please let me know how you liked it!

Conch House St Augustine

Hi Dolls,

Earlier this week I went to St. Augustine for a little shopping and sight-seeing.  I've been there several times but have never taken the time to sight-see.

FYI:  St. Augustine is the Nations Oldest City.

It was hot as (fill in the blank) though!!!  Because of the heat and the amount of walking we'd have to do, I chose to wear something comfy!

Yall it was so freggin' hot... I promise I tanned 2 shades darker!

Photobucket you know ya girl found somewhere great to eat right???
We went to the Conch House Restaurant!!!!
The restaurant was connected to a resort and a marina
 which created a great view!

It had a great carribean vibe with reggae playing in the background and lil' totem poles all over the place!

They had these cute little tiki huts you could sit at outside, but it was just too dern hot for that.

Here's what we ordered!!!

Tropical Chicken Wings

Fish Tacos with Yellow Rice and Black Beans
Shrimp & Grits

Shrimp and Sausage Po-Boy

We went to the St. Augustine Premier Outlets after our sight-seeing and I found some cute stuff!  Everything was great and we all had a wonderful time in St. Augustine, despite the scorching HEAT!!!

Millhouse Steakhouse and CATS

Hello Lovelies!

Last Saturday my boyfriend and I attended the broadway musical CATS with my friend and her husband.  I love broadway productions and Cats is one that I've always wanted to see so when it came here I was pretty excited.

BUT OFCOURSE we had to stop somewhere and eat before the show so we decided on Millhouse Steakhouse.
I ordered the crabcakes with rice pilaf and asparagus.
My boo ordered the prime rib

Everything was delish!  My BF and I eat here quite often and they never disappoint.  The food is always yummy and the prices are so reasonable.  I also love that their cocktails are get this...$1.99...ALL THE TIME!!!!  Love it!

Soooo....CATS gets a solid B from me.  The production was great but there were times I couldn't fully understand what was being said.  I didn't like having to ask my BF "What was that?  What are they singing?"  Oh well! At the end of the day great food, great company, and broadway made for a pretty good night!  Talk to you all soon!

Cozy Tea!

Hi guys!

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.  I missed you guys yesterday but I was out and about most of the day.

Over the weekend I went to the cutest, quaintest, Alice in Wonderland type of spot you'd ever want to be.  It's called Cozy Tea.  It's a Tearoom and Gift Shop and it's just the cutest little spot!

They sell baskets, assortment of plates and cups, teapots, random little gift sets, odds and ends, and ofcourse your choice of TEA!!!

The menu had sooo many different teas to choose from that it was pretty difficult choosing one.

My mom ordered the Cranberry Apple Tea

I ordered The Crime of Passion Tea ( It had passion fruit in it..YUM)
I thought it was just the cutest thing that we all got our own individual pots of tea...too cute!

( No make up this morning :))

The food selections were pretty good as well.
My mom and dad both ordered the curry chicken salad sandwich with a salad and roasted corn and squash soup.

I ordered the curry chicken puff pastry which was soooo freggin' good!!!  I also ordered the tomato bisque soup and salad.

They have amazing looking desserts, especially the truffles but I didn't try any...maybe next time. :)

This place was super, super cute and the staff was so nice. It was a very welcoming atmosphere.  It's the perfect place for brunch with friends or family and to make it all the more enticing, it's located in 5 points, an area of town known for their boutiques!
