Hey Dolls!

My sweetie and I went to dinner last night and I
wanted to show you all what I was wearing! But first take a look at the new doo!

This was my birthday dress last year and while I was digging through my closet I saw it!  I almost forgot all about it.  In an effort to save more, I've been trying to "Shop My Closet" lately!

Photobucket
It feels like spring time in Florida right now!  With 80 degree weather, you'd think it was April so I had no problem putting this dress on for the night out on the town :)
Photobucket
Because the weather is so unpredictable, I did bring my cropped jacket in case it got a little chilly at night, and I'm glad I did.  Here is the look with the jacket.

We had a very nice evening!  It was a great start to the weekend.  I needed a little pampering after the long work week I had!!!!  Hope you all have a FABULOUS weekend!  Talk to you soon.

Hey Dolls,

I hope you all are having a great week so far!  The last couple of weeks have been pretty hectic for me. Especially at work.  I apologize for the lack of posts.  I took these last Sunday at church and I'm just now getting a chance to post.  Better late than never right?!?!  Here goes!

Photobucket
I'm sure some of you have heard the following statement "As Christians, we are in this world but not of this world."  It's our duty to minister to those who don't know Jesus.

Photobucket

We have to learn to live a holy as possible, especially in the kind of world we live in now.  I'm sure all of you can agree with me when I say it is so hard not to fall victim to the things that tempt us because temptation is all around us.  With the help of the Holy Spirit, we can overcome those temptations.

Photobucket
Have you ever felt as though you've messed up so badly that God could never forgive you?

Well, there is NO sin to deep and NO mistake too great for God's mercy and forgiveness.

Have a great remainder of the week!!!  Smile and say nice things even when you don't want to.  Someone told me once that sometimes it just pays to be nice....they were right!!!

Be blessed!

Hi Dolls,

How was your long weekend, assuming that you all had Monday off for MLK day?  I enjoyed the weekend catching up on some much needed rest, hence the lack of posts lately.  Nevertheless, I am back with a Sunday's Best post!

Here are the shoes that inspired my outfit!
Photobucket
I found these shoes on sale at Marshalls last summer and thought they were super cute for a floral print!

The necklace that I wore with this outfit was from a Kiosk on the Las Vegas strip!  It was only $1.99 and came with matching earrings that you can't really see in the picture!!!

Photobucket
Here is the entire look!

Photobucket
  • Blazer:  H&M
  • Floral Bodysuit:  Forever 21
  • Black Slacks:  Ross
The message in church was from the book of Habakkuh and focused on how to overcome doubt and being honest with yourself.  The following statement resonated with me, "If you're honest with yourself, you can be the best YOU!  If  you have doubt, unbelief, instability, financial problems, romance problems, etc., it's because of you.  You have the power to change your situation."

Photobucket
Church was truly a blessing, as it always is and I pray that all of you have a wonderful work week!!!

Hi Dolls,

I hope everyone's 2012 has gotten off to a great start!  After the whirlwind of a holiday I had, it was challenging getting back to the swing of things in the "real world".
Now that things are back to normal and I want to share my first cooked dish of the year.  I got this quick, easy, and yummy recipe from my girl Monique over at Divas Can Cook!  She has awesome recipes that are delicious and easy to follow! It is a Creamy Pasta with Sausage!  This dish is perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.

Here's what you need:

  • 2.5 cups of bowtie pasta
  • olive oil
  • 8 oz smoked turkey sausage (diced)

  • 1 clove of garlic (minced)
  • dash of red pepper flakes
  • 1.5 diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup of heavy whipping cream
  • 2/3 cup of Italian Cheese Blend
  • 1 TBS Parsley Flakes
  • Seasoning of Choice

DIRECTIONS for this quick and easy meal!!!!!
1.) Boil pasta until al dente (Approximately 7 minutes)
and set aside.
Photobucket
2.) Brown your diced turkey sausage.
Photobucket
3.) Add garlic and diced onion to sausage.
Photobucket
4.) Add a dash of red pepper flakes. (I always use red pepper flakes from the leftover little pizza packets) Photobucket
It's smelling pretty good at this point!!!
Photobucket
5.) Add your cup of heavy whipping cream. Photobucket
6.) Once the cream thickens, add tomatoes and pasta. Photobucket
7.) Add a little seasoning of choice. Photobucket
8.) Add your cheese
Photobucket
9.) Garnish with the parsley flakes and.......
Photobucket
I had a bottle of sparkling cider in the fridge that I thought would go  well with this dish.
It did and VOILA!!!! The dish turned out perfectly!!!
Photobucket
This year I want to do more cooking so hopefully this is a start to something great! I LOVE cooking and this will be added to my book of recipe keepers! Please try this, it only took about 15-20 minutes tops! Perfect during the work week. Talk to you later dolls!

Happy New Years Dolls!!!!!

I pray that all of you have a prosperous, fashionable, and abundantly blessed 2012!!!  You all know where I was to ring in the new year!  Here was my New Years Eve look:
Photobucket
I absolutely LOVE H&M!!!!  I think I'm going to write a letter begging and pleading for them to build one in my city.  Whenever I find one out of town, I stock up lol!  This is a dress that I bought from there recently.  I dressed it up a bit with the belt.

Photobucket
I was going to wear plain, black high heels with it but these boots were actually more comfortable, considering I was going to be on my feet for a while!
Photobucket
I think the boots made the look a little edgy, here's what they look like in the back.

Photobucket
I'm so sad  to report that the earrings in the picture below are no longer with us.....well one of them at least.  Don't you hate when you get home and realize that one of your beloved earrings have gone astray?  That was how I felt when got back and saw just one earring remaining!
Photobucket
They were some of my favs! :(
Well Vegas was INSANE for New Years this year!!!! I've been there before for New Years but this time was CRAZY CROWDED!!!! I don't think I have ever been around this many people at one time ever!!!   Pretty cool!

Photobucket
Countdown!

Photobucket
Happy New Year!!!!  Do you guys have resolutions?  I don't really have any "resolutions", I just want to continue to be the best me I possibly can be, in all aspects of my life.

Photobucket
Once again, I pray that all you have a FABULOUS 2012.  Be blessed!
