Work OOTD and What's Cooking W/ Trice!

Hey Dolls,

How was everyone's weekend?  It's humpday so the weekend is almost here again and I, for one, can't wait!!!  Did I tell you guys that H&M finally opened here!!!!!  So STOKED!!!  So that's where I'll be headed this weekend!  Anywho, here is my work OOTD!  It's pretty colorful!

Here are the colorful sandals that inspired my look for today!

I love this hi-lo dress!  It's flowy and really comfy!  I had to make it work appropriate with this black cardi because it's sleeveless.

I think next time I wear this ensemble, I'll add a colorful belt to the look to pull it all together a little better.

What's Cooking With Trice?!?!  "Fried Rice"
So I haven't done a recipe post in a while so here goes!  Do you ever have a lot of left over rice from a meal and don't know what to do with it?
My solution is to make your own version of fried rice and here's what you need:
Leftover Rice
Meat of Choice :  I used what I had in the fridge Smoked Turkey Sausage
1-2 eggs depending on how much rice you have
1/2 chopped onion and green pepper
1 TSP of soy sauce
1.) Saute your veggies and meat together then set aside.
2.) In a different skillet, add your rice and soy sauce.  Heat through.

3.) Add your meat, veggies, and eggs.  Mix until egg is completely cooked.
4.) Plate and enjoy!!!

This is a really quick and easy meal to prepare and you can add as many items to it as you please.  If you try it please let me know how it turns out!  Have a great day!

Happy Weekend!

Hello Beautiful People!

It's the weeekkeeennnd baby!!!  I'm going to keep this post short and sweet.  I just wanted to show you my work OOTD from yesterday.
Old Navy had these really cute tanks for $4 a few weeks ago!  I love them because you can dress them up
(or down) so many ways.  I chose to dress this one up with a blazer.

On another note, I don't know about you all but I am sooooo ready for cooler weather!  I am completely over this heat!  I'm also ready for the holidays!  It's my favorite time of year because I get to be with family!
What are you all getting into this weekend?  Some of my cheerleaders and I volunteered this morning at one of the city missions.  We served breakfast to the homeless.  It's always a humbling experience.  I'm back at home now and I don't think I'll be going anywhere else today which is just fine with me.

Neon Frenzy!

Hey Dolls,

How has all of my blogger friends been?  I've been super busy lately, hence the lack of blog posts.  I'm going to make every effort to get back to my regular blogging schedule.  I'm also making an effort to wear my natural hair more too!  I love this neon yellow-greenish color so much so that I've worn it a couple of times in the last week.
I wore this bright top to work today and one thing I can say blogging has done for me is give me more gall to wear things I normally would be hesitant to.  I use to always think yellow was too bright for my skin tone let alone neon yellow!
But when I saw this peplum top in F21 I fell in love immediately, then when I saw it was only $10 I had to have it!
I received so many compliments today on my top and shoes!

Before I go, I want to show you what I wore to church last Sunday. It was also highlighter bright!

Ok dolls, I promise to be back sooner than later!  Have a blessed remainder of the week!

Sunday's Best: "Being Mindful" & Smashion Interview

Hey Dolls,

How was your Labor Day weekend?  Mine was uneventful but relaxing in the same token.  Sometimes doing nothing is everything!!! I did an interview with Smashion, a really cool website where you can mix and match new and pre-loved fashion and connect with others who share your same love of fashion!  Here's the link if you'd like to check it out

Here is what I wore to church last Sunday!

The lesson was very timing per usual.  It was about being mindful of the things we say, do, think, places we go, and company we keep.
I have been learning how to be mindful of all of these things but most of all the company I keep/entertain.  It's sometimes hard to remember that everyone does not have your best interest at heart and over the years I've had to learn this the hard way.  I now try to surround myself with people who only want the best for me and limit my interactions with those with ulterior motives. True friends are like diamonds in a rough so it's safe to say I'm blessed for the very few "true" ones I do have!

My outfit was matchy matchy but I love it!

 Blazer & Necklace: H&M
(Which is opening here this THURSDAY!!!!!! I am beyond the moon!)
Dress:  Ross
Heels: Zara

Have a fabulous remainder of the week dolls!  I'll be back soon!
