Oh "Ross Dress For Less" How I Love Thee!!!

Hi Dolls,

So this is going to be a really short post about how much I love Ross!!!!  Now I know most people have a love or hate relationship with Ross for several different reasons.  The reasons I hear most from people that don't care for the store is "Oh, it's too cluttered!" "I can never find anything"  and "They never have anything nice."
Well....I never ever ever ever, have issues finding nice things in Ross!

Take this dress for instance....

Every year for the past 5 years, I have been the mistress of ceremonies for our school pageant.  This year I really procrastinated and didn't go looking for something to wear until the day before the pageant.  This is what I found....at Ross...for .....catch this......$8.99!!!!!!!  I KNOW RIGHT!!!  Last year I found this dress (click here) for only $39.99.

Dress and Heels:  Ross
It's not as fancy as last years dress but it served its purpose for the evening and I received many compliments!  For $8 bucks, I was pretty happy!  With all that being said, if you're one of those people who can never find anything in Ross, give it another shot!  They usually have some pretty nice gems hidden in those cluttered dress racks!

Be back soon!

Anthony Bourdain: Guts and Glory Tour

Hey Loves,

If you're a food lover like me, you are probably familiar with the uber-witty, sarcastic, and adventurous world renown chef, Anthony Bourdain.

You may have seen him on his Travel Channel show, Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations or recently as a judge and mentor, on ABC's new reality cooking competition, The Tastejust to name a few.
One thing about Anthony Bourdain is that he knows food!  I like him because he tells it how it is when it comes to food reviews!  No sugar-coating with him and guess what....if you are interested in hearing Anthony talk about his interesting food travels and food encounters, you're in luck because he is coming to a city near you!

For all of my Florida blogger buddies, he will be here in Jacksonville this Thursday at 7:30pm at the Times Union Center and in Orlando this Friday at the Hard Rock Live.  If you are here in Jacksonville and would like to attend this event, tickets are still available.  You can visit www.artistseriesjax.org or call 904-442-2929 to reserve tickets.  They range between $40-$75.

From what I hear, it is sure to be an entertaining show, full of laughs and the opportunity to ask the chef questions at the end.  I'll be attending and look forward to sharing the experience with you all.

Talk to you soon!

Bluebonnets and Fish Daddy's!

Hey Dolls,

I went to Texas a few weeks ago to visit my family and those are always great times!  The weather was perfect and when it gets warm, the only things I feel like wearing are dresses.  I pulled this one out of the back of my closet.
 photo bluebonnet2_zps14e38731.jpg
While there, the Texas state flower, Bluebonnet, was in full bloom and my mother insisted that I get in the flowers to take a picture.  IWhenever the opportunity presents itself for a photo-op, I happily oblige! This time, however, I had to pay with an allergic reaction to the skin lol!  Anything for mommy though!  Plus the flowers were so pretty how could I say no.
 photo bluebonnet1_zps623bf138.jpg
After an afternoon of frolicking in the flowers, we went to Fish Daddy's Grill House!

If you have Cheddar's in your town, you can compare it to how Fish Daddy's is.  I'm not sure, but they are so similar, they made be part of the same conglomerate.  The food was so good and sooooooo affordable!

My mom, brother, and I got the fried crawfish and crawfish etoufee and it was so so so good! Just look at it for yourself.

My dad ordered the grilled catfish and although I didn't taste it, it looked delicious!  I think I have perfected the art of eating with my eyes LOL!

I love spending time with my family!  We are a happy little giggly bunch when we'e together. I look forward to the next time we're all together again!  If Fish Daddy Grill House is near you and you've never given it a try, please do!  It'll be worth your while.

Kraft's Fresh Take and a Giveaway!!!

Hey Dolls!

I am really excited for today's post!  Not only will I be talking about one of my favorite things, food, but I will also be doing a give-away!!!

But first let me tell you about my latest yummy food experience....

 photo 81cf141b-1664-4f2d-bd9c-1be6675ec22b_zpsce4e7645.jpg
Last week Kraft's Fresh Possibilities Tour, which is 4 food trucks traveling the U.S. bringing hot, delicious meals prepared with Fresh Take, made a stop in Jacksonville, Florida and of course your girl had to check it out!
 photo 31e91eb5-0763-4728-bfd0-882d09925511_zps22706ae8.jpg
All of the food samples were made with one of Kraft's nine varieties of Fresh Take,  delicious, versatile, and convenient meal kits comprised of natural cheese, spices, and breadcrumbs.

I had the pleasure of sampling the following:
 photo freshtake7_zpsaea1a9f8.jpg
Awesome Artichoke Dip, Homemade Four Cheese Meatballs, and Smokey Mesquite Chicken Tenders
 photo freshtake4_zps946c824b.jpg
I was pleasantly surprised at how delicious these samples were so much so I happily asked for a second serving...don't judge LOL!
 photo freshtake3_zps4c93196e.jpg
All three were delicious but the artichoke dip was my absolute FAV!!!

The tour will be going on until July at retailers like Publix, H-E-B, Kroger, Winn Dixie, and Walmart.  You can check out their site here to see when the tour will be near you.

After sampling the items, we were given coupons and a recipe book and I decided to try one of the recipes tonight.

One thing that I love about Kraft Fresh Take is how convenient it is.  All of the ingredients are in an easy-clean up compartmentalized bag and all you need to add is your protein and whatever sides you want.

I decided to make the Italian Parmesan Chicken with Tuscan Spinach Salad.
 photo freshtake6_zps2bb6a886.jpg
Here are the other ingredients you need:
-Chicken Breast
-Baby Spinach Leaves
Red Bell Pepper
-Italian Dressing
-Cannelini Beans

Here is the final result of my meal and IT WAS INCREDIBLY FLAVORFUL!!!  I am officially a fan of Fresh Take!

Spring has Sprung

Hey Dolls,

I'm back with a quick OOTD!  First my apologies for the extra grainy pics.  My camera did not want to act right inside the house.

 photo easter2_zps1a750ca1.jpg

Now that spring has sprung, I all about the light, bright, and pastels.  I fell in love with this dress as soon as I laid my eyes on it a few weeks ago at Urban Outfitters!

 photo easter1_zpsa98f78e0.jpg
I loved it even more when I thought about the shoes I recently purchased from ShoeDazzle that would match them perfectly.  So the look is matchy-matchy but I loved it and I got loads of compliments so it must have been a good look!

How was everyone's Easter?  I enjoyed every bit of Resurrection Sunday with my family and I pray all of you did as well.  I decided to keep this short and sweet

 I'll be back very soon!
