This skirt though!

 photo DSC_0566_zps659e464a.jpgHey Dolls!

There is nothing that makes me feel more feminine and classy than a beautiful skirt  (see here) so when I was contacted by eShakti to review one of their clothing items, I happily obliged!  eShakti is the only online women's fashion apparel company offering size 0-36W and custom clothing.  This was good to know because I am always pretty wary about ordering clothes online for a fear of it not fitting right.  I am not into having to send things back.  I ordered one size up based on the sizing chart provided on their website and the fit is lovely!  With that being said, I am happy with my order!  When I saw this ankle length  chambray skirt, I immediately fell in love and knew I wanted it!  The way I styled it today was exactly how I saw it in my mind when I saw the skirt online.  With a crisp white shirt, collar popped, and statement necklace.

Do you guys do that too?

It has pockets too!  Tell me you don't love big pockets in your skirt!  Besides having pockets, the full length of this skirt and the high waist are my favorite features! I had the option to customize the skirt by making it shorter and removing the pockets but I thought it was perfect the way it was.  I liked having the option though!

Another thing I love about this skirt is that I can dress it up or down.  I can see wearing it with a plain tank, a fedora, and flat sandals during the summer for a more casual look!

You've gotta twirl when you're wearing a long flowy skirt!  In the words of Kenya Moore, I was feeling "gone with the wind fabulous"  in my skirt LOL!

I am definitely going to be ordering more clothes from eShakti!  Please check them out!  If you find something you like, you can get 10% OFF for being a reader of my blog!  Can't beat a discount!

Just enter 'fashheels' in the promotional code box as many times as you'd like between now and July 26, 2014 to enjoy your 10% off!

As always thank you for stopping by!  This skirt was c/o eShakti but the opinions were definitely my own!  Take care dolls!
Be back soon!

First Day of Summer!

Hey Lovelies!!!

How are you all enjoying summer thus far!?!?   As you all probably already know, the first day of summer was last Saturday and what better way to officially kick off summer than with a beautiful wedding!  I attended a wedding with my dear friend Krystle.  It was her co-workers wedding and I was most definitely obliged to attend as her plus one!  Perfect time to play dress wouldn't you say?!?  The golf country club location was gorgeous and the occasion was simply beautiful.
I decided to go with a bright and fun summery look for the wedding and coincidentally, my romper was one of the colors of the wedding!!!

After the ceremony, we headed over to the other side of the golf course for these yummy hors d'oeurves while the wedding party took photos.

When we went inside for the reception, we were greeted with this really cute candy bar (this is also on my list of things to do at my wedding!).  The colors coordinated with the turquoise and salmon colored wedding!

Delicious food including Chicken Marsala which was my fav!
The wedding cake, favors, and wine.  I love it when there's an open bar! :)

Photobooth!

So I am totally going to have a photo booth at my wedding!  It was a hit and everyone had such a great time taking silly photos!  The photographer printed out the pictures and we were able to take a copy and leave a copy for the bride and groom with a special message for them!  I thought it was the greatest thing!
I love seeing love and it radiated throughout the entire event!  We had a great time and I am really happy for the new couple!

As always, thank you for stopping by!  How did you spend the first day of summer?  Talk to you all soon!

MoonBeam Bash!!!!

Hey Dolls!!!

What better way to kick off summer than an AWESOME party on the rooftop of a museum!?!?  That's exactly how I got my summer started last Thursday at the Jacksonville Yelp Moonbeam Bash!
I recently joined Yelp and every month they host an event in support of local vendors.  This was the event for June and boy was it a hit!  It was held at the MOSH museum (Museum of Science and History) and it was the perfect location. It was a wonderful evening of great food, great entertainment, great company, and this beautiful view of downtown Jacksonville!

Before I get into the food, here is what I decided to wear! I figured I'd go for something sparkly since I was going to a "MoonBeam" event on a rooftop!  It just felt like the right thing to do lol! photo ca55fa56-0db4-4507-ace8-faa0c1b6d25e_zps6454fe13.jpg
Blazer and Blouse:  H&M
Pants: GoJane.com
Necklace: Charming Charlie
Watch:  Michael Kors
Heels:  Vera Wang
I received so many compliments on my pants!  They were definitely a hit!
Now on to all of the good eats!    There were several local vendors around every corner of the museum, ready to offer you a sampling of their cuisine, drinks, and desserts.  In no particular order here is some of what I enjoyed:

Pretzel Chips
The Garlic Parmesan were my favorite flavor!!!
The Flying Iguana Taqueria and Tequila:

Soooo... this taco right here, the Anticucho Steak taco, was... THE BOMB... DIGGIDY!!!  Savory steak, verde sauce, and spicy red fresno chili, was like a party in my mouth!!! It was my favorite of the night!

 Tres Leches Eatery

Chick pea gumbo......mmmmmm wasn't my fav but I can appreciate the creativity.
"For The Love Of Cake"
These mini cupcakes were super cute and delicious!
 Fusion Food Truck
They had small bites of their infamous chicken tikka masala.  Check out this post for more about them.
Dim Sum Room
They had Shumai, Chinese pork dumpling.  It reminded me of the wonton in wonton soup.
 What's The Catch
They had some delicious Shrimp Creole and Ahi Tuna tacos!!!
 Your Pie
They had an amazing Buffalo Bacon Club Sandwich!  You can't really go wrong if bacon is a factor.
 Aster's French Macarons
They had some really cool flavors for sampling and I have a habit of going for the most unique flavor when given the option ....
Can you guess which one I tried.....
Yep, that's right!  I got the Fruit Loop Macaron!!!

It tasted just like a milky bowl of Fruit Loops!!!

On the roof we more tasty surprises, including my second favorite treat of the night from one of my new favorite restaurants, HAWKERS!!!
Hawkers Asian Street Fare
 photo hawkers_zpseb94ce16.jpg
This was the Steak Banh Mi Slider and it was pretty amazing!!!

Volstead
You can't end an evening like this with out a night cap and the Volstead kept the spirited beverages coming!  They were so refreshingly delicious!
"The Jam" was a delicious concoction of Bourbon, basil, lemon, and blueberry jam!!!  I know right!!!

There were a few other vendors like Corner Taco, Vagabonds, European Street Cafe, and the awesome massage therapist I didn't get a chance to try but from what I heard they were pretty amazing too!  With that being said, this event was one that I will not soon forget!  It was a great time with great people, food, and entertainment.  If you have a Yelp for your city, get into it, you'll enjoy it!
I'll be back soon!!!
XOXO
