Before Winter is Gone!

Hi Dolls,

Although the weather has been up and down and up and down, I have a feeling the warmer weather will be coming for good very soon!   With that being said, I am going to wear my favorite winter ensembles before it's too warm!
I wore this look to a park on a really breezy and chilly day off from work!  It kept me warm and stylish!
I love the winter because I get to wear layers but I am definitely looking forward to warmer temps and bright, colorful attire that comes with the spring and summer!

"Coffee & Chill" NomNom Event

Hi Dolls,

My name is Trice and I am an avid coffee lover!  Up until my senior year in college I probably would've never thought I'd be into coffee like I am but, well, I am!  So much so that I was overly excited when my foodie friend Nate, announced he was having a coffee pairing, food event at Vagabond Coffee Company!  I jumped right on that!  Plus I love all of the hip, little food spots in  historic Murray Hill district and this was one spot I had yet to visit!
This was the "Coffee and Chill" NomNom event and just a sidenote, if you live in Jacksonville and you're a foodie, you should totally join the NomNom club so you can attend cool events like this!  Now on to the good stuff!
Smore's Tart & Espresso:  This was our first course.  The tart was delicious and came with the normal ingredients for a smore but had a hidden layer of caramel which was a nice surprise.
The espresso was super duper strong with smoky and tart undertones!  If you weren't awake before, one sip would've done the trick!   It was certainly a true espresso.
Quiche & Cappuccino:  This quiche was so moist and loaded with flavor!  It was full of cheese and sausage goodness.  Normally I wouldn't think of pairing a savory dish with a cappuccino but it  paired quite nicely!
I could've easily had more servings of the quiche but I had to save room for the third course!
Sprinkled Pop Tart & Blood Orange Coffee Cocktail:  Ok, so I was honestly sold on the event when I saw that there would be a coffee cocktail!  I mean have you ever had a cocktail made with coffee?  Well, I'm sure some of you have but I hadn't!  On top of that, who wouldn't want a homemade pop tart, with sprinkles?!?!  This bad boy was made with blueberries and was EVERYTHING!  I found out that they bake all of the pastries in house from scratch and that the pop tarts, a crowd fav, are only sold on Fridays.
So about this coffee cocktail!  Will, the owner of Vagabond, concocted a special treat for us!  He used Ethiopian Gogi and a foodie fav, blood oranges.
He creme brulee'd the blood oranges to carmelized perfection
which were a nice garnish along with the sugary rim.
This was honestly the perfect event for a chilly Saturday afternoon!  The coffee was wonderful, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was eclectic!

Vagabond is a pretty swanky little spot!  Not only do they sell coffee and pastries but you can buy coffee mugs and t-shirts too!  Not to mention they have the awesome graffiti you saw here.  They also offer reward cards now so if you frequent the Murray Hill area or are just in the mood for some well crafted coffee and pastries, head over to Vagabond Coffee Company!  You'll be glad you did.
As always, thanks so much for stopping by!

Hi Dolls,

Last weekend I attended an event and absolutely HAD to have an impromptu photo session when I saw this graffiti wall!  Isn't it fab?!?!  I remember drawing graffiti-like pictures in my sketch book when I was in high school.  Its always intrigued me so what better back drop to have for pictures!
The weather was chilly but not cold enough for a coat so I kept my outfit pretty simple with a few layers and cute boots.

Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara

Hi Dolls,

If you're not on Influenster, you are seriously missing out on some really awesome goodies!  I was stoked when I found out that I was selected to receive the Marc Jacobs voxbox!  I received a fabulous volumizing mascara for review!
To my surprise, the tube was pretty heavy for its size.  The brush is shaped so that all lashes can be reached with each stroke providing the maximum coverage.
The formula itself is extra dark, super moist, and doesn't flake or smudge much.  After wearing it all day, my eyes were still popping as you can see in the picture below!

I have pretty long lashes so I never really wear falsies but I always try to fluff them up with mascara.   I am an instant fan of Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir because it really does add that extra volume with minimal applications.  It has long wear and it truly makes your eyes POP!  You can find this fabulous mascara in Sephora for only $26 bucks!  For a designer mascara, I think you can't beat that price.
So what do you guys think?  What are your favorite mascaras?

As always, thanks so much for stopping by!

Boulder Organic Soups Giveaway!!! (closed)

Congrats to the winners:  chickie717, Ashley Iselborn, and Jennifer Gleason
Hi Dolls,

There is no better time for soup than the winter and when the weather is chilly and you've been working hard all day, coming home to an quick and easy dinner that's packed with nutrients is high up on my list!!! That's where Boulder Organic soups come in for the win!  These soups are loaded with healthy ingredients and are ready to eat with in minutes!  It's the perfect choice for anyone trying to stick to those "New Year, New You" health resolutions!
One of the things I love most about Boulder Organic soups is that they are all non-GMO, certified organic, gluten-free, and just all around good for you!  There are over 10 unique flavors and they are all made in small batches using garden fresh ingredients!
These soups can be found in the refrigerated deli sections at many locations across the country.  I came across the Garden Minestrone and Tuscan White Bean soup in our local Fresh Market.
I decided to try the Garden Minestrone first and with the hectic work week I've been having, it was a great dinner choice!  I added a few bread sticks and it was a great combination!
I've been incorporating more fruit and vegetables into my diet and this soup is packed with fresh veggies including zucchini, potatoes, peas, tomatoes, and beans.  It tasted as though I made it myself.  Very flavorful!

There have so many different flavors I'd love to try like the Chicken Quinoa and Kale, Carrot Ginger soup with Coconut, and Potato Leek!  They were out of all of these last week so I'll have to make a trip back to Fresh Market soon! In the meantime, I would love for you all to try them and tell me what you think!
I'm  hosting a giveaway for 3 coupon packs with 3 coupons each, to try some Boulder Organic Soups for free!  I will randomly choose 3 of you dolls next Wednesday, February 10, 2016.  Entering the giveaway is pretty easy!  All you have to do is leave a comment here or on any of my social media telling me which soup you'd like to try as well as your email address so I can contact you if you win!  That's it! Winners will be posted here on my blog next Wednesday.
