White Leather, Black Leather, and Graffiti Oh My!

Hi Dolls,

How was everyone's weekend?  My weekend was pretty good and pretty chilly as I'm sure it was in your neck of the woods.  When cold weather calls, leather comes a running!  My friend found the most awesome place downtown for me to take my outfit pics and I'm so excited to share them with you!  I think the background definitely makes a difference!  I've always thought graffiti was so cool!  It adds pizzazz to trains and downtown walls and it certainly makes your outfit pop!
I always look forward to wearing my winter clothes.  I usually try to cram all of the looks into a few weeks because winter in Florida is so unpredictable.  I'm surprised it's still cold.  We're in, two weeks strong!
Now on to the look!  This is the perfect outfit for date night or a night out with the ladies.
These pants were super comfy and super sexy!  While we were taking pictures, an elderly man circled back around four times to get a better look, hence the laughing!
We kept betting he was coming back around and sure enough there he was! LOL!
Can we take a moment for these white leather booties?!?!  I've had them for a couple of years now and this was the first time I wore them.  I'm mad at myself for not giving them more play!
They are so fabulous and I love the gold studs!  The booties matched the black clutch with the gold studs perfectly!

Besides the beautiful graffiti wall, there were so many other gems downtown.  We were like two school girls, trying to find a secret hideaway!
We came up on what appeared to be an abandoned warehouse.  It was another awesome back drop!  Needless to say, we had lots of fun!

Shirt and Pants:  H&M (here)
Booties: London Trash (here)
Clutch:  BCBG (similar)
Gold Belt:  Marshall's (similar)
As the day went on, it got a little warm so I had to come out of the jacket!  I've been working on my "Smize".  What do you guys think?  I'm more of a smile with all 32 kind of girl!  LOL!
As always, thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a fabulous week and stay warm out there!
XOXO

Geometric Print Maxi (in the winter!)

Hi Dolls,

Who says you can't wear a maxi in the winter!?!?  Well you've got to love Florida weather!  One day it's freezing and the next day you can get away with flip flops.  This particular day was so warm, I was able to comfortably wear this beautiful maxi dress with the high slit to show a little leg!  Ofcourse, the next day was freezing...AGAIN!
Although I've just started wearing this dress, I can see it becoming a favorite!  The geometric print and bold colors caught my eye at first glance!  My only complaint is how baggy the top of the dress is but that can always be altered.
It's so also very flowy and I love the high slits.  I can hardly wait for the summer months to rock it with some sandals!
I wore this dress to a bridal show and it was a hit!  I received so many compliments!
This is another beautiful piece from Shein!  I can't even explain how in love I am with this site!
Dress:  Shein (here)
Heels:  Boutique 9
Bracelet:  It's Fashion Metro
Earrings:  Market in Puerto Rico
Look at all that leg lol!  I'm loving it!
As always, thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a fabulous weekend!
XOXO

What's Cooking With Trice: Zuppa Toscana Soup

Hi Lovelies,

At long last, the weather has cooled down...emphasis on "cool".  Living in Florida, I'm not expecting the weather to stay cool for long but while it is, I'm definitely going to take advantage of cooking food that will warm up the soul!  Like this homemade "Zuppa Toscana" soup!  This soup is definitely one of my favorite soups at Olive Garden so I'm am super stoked that I now know how to make a copycat at home.  Besides, homemade is always better!
One of my besties, told me about the recipe she found on Pinterest and when I found out how easy it was and how few ingredients you needed, I was sold!

You only need 7 ingredients and a slow cooker!

Ingredients:
1 lb. Hot Italian Sausage
Simply Potatoes
2 cloves garlic (minced)
32 oz. chicken broth
2 TBS flour
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 bunch Kale

1.) Brown the hot Italian sausage, add garlic, drain of fat, and add to the bottom of the slow cooker.
( Sidenote:  This sausage gave my soup a nice little kick!  If you're not into spicy, you could always go with the mild sausage.)
2.) Add the bag of Simply Potatoes to the bottom of the slow cooker. I sprinkled on a little seasoning at this point but that is totally optional.
3.) Add the chicken stock, cover your slow cooker, and let it simmer away on high for 4 hours.
4.) Around 20-30 minutes before your soup is done, mix the flour and heavy cream together until all of the lumps are gone.  Add this to the slow cooker and mix well.
5.) Mix in the kale and cover the slow cooker for 20-30 more minutes so the soup can thicken some.
6.) After 20-30 minutes, stir your soup and serve it up with a piece of crusty bread!  You can also add a bit of chopped bacon at the end for an extra pop of flavor!
You've got to have the bread!  It makes this soup that much better!
This soup was so hearty and a lot more flavorful than the one from Olive Garden!  On top of that it was so easy to make.  I love a "throw it all in the pot" kind of meal!  It is definitely a must-try, especially during the winter months!  If you try it let me know!
As always, thanks so much for stopping by!
XOXO

A New "LOVE" 2

Happy New Year Dolls!

I have to admit that I am not known for keeping up with resolutions.  However, I will say that every year, I strive to be a better me than I was the year before.  I am definitely looking forward to all of the great things 2016 has in store for me!  I foresee it being a fabulous year!
Last month I went to San Antonio to spend time with my family for the holidays and while there I made a stop at the beautiful McNay Art Museum.  Besides it having an array of stunning works of art and landscaping to admire, I wanted to see Robert Indiana's Signature "LOVE" sculpture up close and personal!
The LOVE sculpture was originally created in 1970 for the Indianapolis Museum of Art and versions of his LOVE sculpture can now be found all of the world from Tokyo to Jerusalem, and San Antonio!  Love is definitely something the world can use a little more of!

Upgrading my wardrobe and finding new places to shop is on my "to-do" list for the new year.  As a matter of fact, I think I have found a new favorite, SheInside.com!
I have heard several of my blogger friends rave about this site but I've always been hesitant to order clothes from overseas with the fear of the clothes not fitting.  Well, my first order didn't disappoint and I scored this beautiful camel colored lapel vest for under $25! I am planning on styling this vest in a few different ways.  This particular day I kept it pretty simple with a pair of jeans and a white blouse.
Vest:  SheInside
Blouse:  H&M
Jeans:  Liz Claiborne
Heels:  Boutique 9
It's funny how your taste in certain things change as you mature in age.  I am switching up some items in my wardrobe so stay tuned.  Do you all have any style resolutions?
As always thank you so much for stopping by!  Have a fabulous day!
XOXO
