Rocco’s Tacos & Tequila Bar / The English Tap (Boca Raton, FL)

Hey Loves,

I’m trying to catch up on all of my restaurant reviews so here goes another one!  When I went down to South Florida for my friends wedding, my sweetie and I wanted to go out for dinner one of the evenings we were there.  We asked the concierge at our hotel for recommendations and Rocco’s Tacos & Tequila Bar at the Town Center came highly recommended!  We decided to go and were very pleased!

We went on a friday night and the scene was very hip!  The decor inside of the restaurant was very vibrant and the music playing made you want to dance!!!

We decided to try some of their tacos!  I mean it is called “Rocco’s Taco’s”!  We got the Pollo (Chicken), Carne Asada (Beef), and Camarones (Shrimp) tacos!

Oh my goodness, these tacos were delicious!  They came loaded with meat, crumbled cojita and spanish cheese, lettuce, and tomatoes!  The tacos came with black beans, spanish rice, and
a side of grilled veggies and they were amazing.

What we forgot to get was guacamole, which was made at your table.

Since we were at a mexican restaurant, I had to get a margarita to wash it all down so I got the “Cadillac Margarita”….it was great!

Next time I’m in Boca Raton, I’ll definitely be going back for some of Rocco’s Tacos!  The food and atmosphere were amazing!  Not to mention the fact that these tacos were only $2.95-$3.95 each! Score!!!!

After dinner, my honey wanted to walk a few yards down to The English Tap and Beer Garden Pub for a “cold one”! 🙂 Our waitress at Rocco’s recommended the “Swamp Ale”.  I don’t drink beer, so i wasn’t willing to try it.  He got a sample and decided against it too.  He said it was way too strong.

This place is known for having about 100 different types taps and your average bar food but since we just finished eating, we didn’t order anymore food.

I figured I stay on the safe side and ordered another margarita.  Unbeknownst to me, the margarita was 30 ounces!!!!  It was HUGE!!!  He got the Lederer tap.

I have to say that though my margarita was huge, it did not pack the punch I was expecting.  This place was just ok!

That’s all for now ladies and gents.

I’ll talk to you all soon!

I love your restaurant reviews! And umm…tacos and margaritas is exactly what I'm craving today. Mainly since I didn't get my Mexican fix on cinco de mayo. :/ Well, I had two margaritas, but I wanted the food to go with it. hahaI hope you had a great weekend, friend!
