Hi Dolls!
Update: A big THANK YOU goes out to everyone who participated in the giveaway! This giveaway is now closed. Congratulations to the randomly picked winner (Random.org), Morgan Hunter! Check your email doll!
I am really excited to share this post with you all! Earth Fare, a North Carolina based health food store had their grand opening this week in Jacksonville! When I first heard that we were getting a new supermarket specializing in organic and natural food, I was immediately excited. So, I was pleasantly surprised when I received an invitation to do a tour of the store the day before it opened. I happily accepted the invite and of course I had to share it with you all! Plus, one of you lovely readers will receive a $50 gift card to try Earth Fare for yourself !
(Compliments of Earth Fare!)
Throughout my guided tour, I learned a lot about their philosophy and one of the things I loved the most was the fact that their foods do not contain artificial flavors, high fructose corn syrup, or antibiotics and growth hormones! Now that’s “Real Food”!
For all of my Jax readers take a look at what we’re getting!!!
Fresh produce! All the colors of the rainbow for you to enjoy!
Earth Fare’s mission is to connect communities and improve lives through food. I was informed they get a lot of produce, meat and fish, as well as other food and drink items locally, which is awesome! I love when companies like this support local businesses. Organic produce is marked with a circular tag for “Organic” and conventional items are available as well.
(Please note that the prices marked in my pics are subject to change)
Nut Butters
You can make your own nut butters and honey is available on tap! How cool is that?
I was really impressed with these little milk chocolate, M&M look alikes! As I mentioned earlier, there are no artificial color and flavors in any of their products so can you guess what gave the little chocolate-ty morsels their bright and bold colors??? Natural vegetable juices! They were amazeballs!
Tea and Coffee
Though Earth Fare doesn’t have a pharmacy, the wellness section offers up an abundance of natural remedies. There is a plethora of products available in this section of the store that would apply to just about every ailment one could have. There are also experts and a computer to help guide you in finding the right product you may need.
Handmade Soap
Bulk Herbs and Spices
Organic Baby Food
Health conscious reading material!
Bakery
When I first walked in, I could smell fresh bread baking. It smelled heavenly! My tour guide informed me that the vent at the front door connects all the way to the bakery on purpose. I’m in trouble!
I love that the meat and seafood is grass-fed and wild harvested! You really can taste the difference. Much fresher. Some of the seafood is local as well!
Speaking of local, I was excited when I saw these Hyppo Gourmet Ice Pops for sale in the freezer aisle. They are made locally, in St. Augustine, as well!
Wine Finds! I’m looking forward to trying the Earth Fare brand Big Tomato!
Here is another insider, the brown shelves mean that the products on the shelf is gluten-free! The black shelves hold conventional items! Easy shopping if you ask me!
Some other cool options available are the raviolli freezer, vegan cookies, and charchuterie station! I’m hosting a birthday party next month so I’m looking forward to getting a custom made charcuterie tray for the event! I was informed that this option isn’t available everywhere so we’re pretty lucky Jax!
The Kitchen!
I was probably most impressed when I was told about the weekly food events including Burgers for a Buck, Take out Tuesday, and my fav, Family Dinner Night. On Thursday nights, up to 6 kids under 12 eat for free as long as an adult spends at least $5. That is really awesome! I don’t have kids but for someone with a big family, this is kind of a deal you can’t beat!
They also have a rewards program called Tomato Bank as well as an app and text alert program! You can read more about these programs on their website.
Cards, Baskets, and Shopping Bags
I am looking forward to doing a little grocery shopping there this weekend now that they are officially opened and one of you will receive a $50 gift card to do the same!

Nice concept.
Yes, it is a pretty cool concept!
Reminds of a place we have here called "Sprouts"!http://www.fashionablyspeakn.com/2014/08/this-is-me-throw-back-thursday-tbt-and.html
Yes, I've heard of Sprouts!
The Kitchen is my favorite part of the store. I'm going to find out if the one here in Charlotte has one.
Mine too! They have two in Charlotte I believe!
Very great Review Trice. I'm so informed by your blog post, I feel like I was there with you during the tour. It's such an awesome store I wish we had a store in Minnesota,Have a great weekend.
Thanks Beauty! Yeah, they're not everywhere yet so I was pretty excited to learn we were getting one. Maybe Minnesota will get one soon!
Great review!! It kind of has the feel of a Tarder Joe's and other whole food/organic stores, but it looks like it offers things the others don't which is very cool. Too bad there isn't on here in the Metro (Atlanta) area. There is one in Athens Ga. (where I am from) but that is over an hour away and one in Augusta that is like 2 hours, so yeah won't be going to those just to go, lol! However, when I was doing research about the store I found that there is one said to be coming soon closer to the Atlanta metro area, so hopefully it's real soon so I can go check it out!!Carsedra McKoy of:http://www.embracingtherealme.com/http://sweets4yourtooth.blogspot.com/
Yeah, they remind me a little of Whole Foods! We are getting a Trader Joes too in October! Exciting! I dont blame you girl, i wouldnt drive that far either.
I like your store already! I will try to get there today!
It's a great store for sure!
Where is your Jacksonville location?
It's on Atlantic Beach, near Academy Sports and LA Fitness!
I just went last night!! Absolutely loved the meats, veggie, and nut butter sections. I blended up some almond butter that I'm wicked excited to try. I'd love a chance to win the gift card. 🙂 crprze@yahoo.com
