Hey Dolls,
My friend Krystle came in town last weekend to celebrate her 30th birthday with her closest friends! I was put in charge of the weekend and Friday night I decided we’d go to Brick Restaurant to kick off the weekend celebration!
I love Brick because on the weekends there is always live music and the atmosphere is perfect when you’re meeting up with friends! This band was awesome! We even got them to play a jazzy rendition of the “Happy Birthday” song for Krystle!
For starters, Krystle and I got the caesar salad which was amazing! Brick makes their dressing in house which is always a plus!
Another friend, Yvette, ordered the calamari. It was seasoned just right and lightly fried. The calamari itself had good texture.
Here is my friend Bernie, and I. Love her new red hair!
We both ordered one of my all time favs from Brick, the shrimp and grits!!! The grits are soooo creamy and I love the fried tortilla shell it comes in and of course the shrimp are succulent! Those were sweet potato fries on the side!
Here is Krystle, the birthday girl, and Yvette!
Yvette ordered the crabcakes with fries. Brick probably has some of the best crab cakes in town! They are FULL of CRAB! Not a bunch of breaded filling. I love that! They were pretty tasty too!
This was a great start to our weekend of celebration. After we left Brick, we moseyed on down the road to The Casbah Cafe for some hookah, bellydancing, and cocktails! We always have so much fun when we’re together!
The next morning I planned my first brunch that was inspired by Breakfast at Tiffany’s for Krystle’s birthday ! I’ll back later this week to show you all how it went!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Be back soon!
XOXO
