Nordstrom Jax Tour (Pic Heavy)

Hey Dolls,

I am super excited to share this post with you!  I enjoy shopping in Nordstrom around the holidays with my mom so when I found out we were getting one in Jacksonville, I was beyond the moon!  My girl Cathy, from Minister of Style,  was chosen by @igersjax to be an attendee for a tour of the new Norstrom before their grand opening and she took me along with her for the fun so you know I couln’t pass up this opportunity!

Can you see the excitement on my face?!?!

Before touring the store, we got a little history and news about what Nordstrom has been up to.

Besides them being a fabulous safe haven for all your designer brands, I was pleased to find out that the Jacksonville Nordstrom raised over $100,000 for Wolfson’s children’s hospital, and other local charities! This is the store manager for the Jacksonville Nordstrom and she was very excited to give us this amazing news!

Did you know that in 1901, when Nordstrom first opened, it was just a shoe store?!?!?  That was a great bit of history if you ask me! Rightfully so, we began our tour in the shoe department!

These Kate Spade “Taxi” flats are too cute for words!  I have no clue what I’d wear them with  but I think I want them!

So were these sparkly pink pumps!

The tour was on a tight schedule so I saw a lot of shoes that I wanted to savor but I didn’t want to get left behind so I had to pass them by.

But nearby was the fabulous cosmetics section!

I loved the “Mini Must-Haves”, some of our favorite beauty products in bite size packaging and “bite-size” prices!  This Laura Mercier Foundation Primer kind of stuck out to me!

Our next stop was the EBAR!

We were greeted with big smiles and complimentary Orange-Pineapple Spritzers….

and coffee however you wanted it!

 Iced or hot!

I had a little fun with my iced coffee and the Nordstrom sign!

Next we made our way upstairs and saw more clothes, more shoes, more great stuff!!!!

Free People Clothing

 Really cute children’s clothing!

I love the baby Chewbacca!  He was adorable.

Upstairs was this really cute dressing room waiting area!  Super comfy with lots to look at!

Soooooo, you know your girl was super excited when I found out we were going to be getting food and cocktails at the restaurant upstairs, “Bazille”!  Everything in the tour was amazing but this was probably the highlight of the event for me! After the shoes, of course!

We were greeted with a scrumptious array of tasty treats off the Bazille menu!

The toast points came with a delicious concoction of goat cheese, pesto, and tomato jam.  It was amazing!  I didn’t try the tartare but I’m sure it was great.

The margherita pizza was divine!  I went back for seconds.

The Fried calamari was a hit!  The sweet chili dipping sauce was a perfect match!

I didn’t try this and I’m sad I didn’t because it looked delicious!

  This shrimp dish was AMAZEBALLS!

The cocktails were pretty amazing too!  This was a cocktail that Cathy had.  It had lavender and blueberries in it!

I had two cocktails…don’t judge.  This was the Smoke & Heat, a fancy magarita!  The salt around the rim was a smoky seasalt giving the drink a very distinctive yet yummy taste!

The bartenders were very focused as they fixed my second cocktail, the Amelia.

 Both cocktails were delicious!

As if everything up to this point wasn’t magnificent, we received goodie bags on our way out!

In the bag was a adorable Instagram coffee mug, coffee, and a make up bag with sample goodies!

I thoroughly enjoyed myself today and I am so happy Cathy invited me!  Big thanks to Nordstrom too for letting us roam the floors before the big crowd makes their way there for the Grand Opening this Friday!  I can’t wait to go back and get my shopping on!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

I’ll be back soon.

XOXO
