Do you ever sit back and think about why some of the things that happen on a day to day basis…happen? For example, do you ever wonder why you spend 10 minutes looking for your keys when they’re staring right at you, in plain sight? What about when you’re running late and realize, as you’re leaving your neighborhood, that you left your phone on the kitchen counter and HAVE to turn around to get it? Oh, here’s a good one, what about when your gas tank is on E but you figure you can make it to the gas station in the morning with no problem but then you actually run out of gas one block from the gas station? No? None of these things have ever happened to you? Ha Ha, well all of them have happened to me at one point or another with the latter being the most recent! Sorry mom! In an attempt to be optimistic, I always try to look at these “setbacks” as blessings in disguise that were put in place to keep me safe.
My friend Veronica, who also happens to be my go to photographer, came to my rescue as I was literally 3 minutes from her house. After a quick session of laughing at the ridiculousness of running out of gas, we added a little gas to the tank then got in a quick photo shoot!
Every thing happens for a reason right!?! I had no intentions of showing off this cute lil’ number! Even though I didn’t make it to service, this was my outfit for church last Sunday. It looks like a blouse and skirt, but it’s actually a dress! The detail in the skirt is what drew me in! The pictures really don’t do it any justice as the black roses are made of a felt-like material. Ohhh the details!
When it gets cooler, I definitely plan on wearing this again with a black or blush cape or a long blazer! For Sunday service I kept it simple but cute as always!
These heels happen to be a favorite pair of mine for two reasons! For one, they’re cute and comfy and for two, the name of this pair of shoes is my name, “Katrice”! I never find ANYTHING with my name on it and to find a pair of shoes named after me is a pretty big deal!
What are some crazy things that happen that slow you down? I’d love to hear about them!
As always thanks so much for stopping by!
