One thing I can say that resonates with most foodies is that everything tastes better with bacon! And ever since I moved to the south, I’ve noticed that there are a heck of a lot of people who LOVE them some pulled pork! With the love of pork at an all time high, what better way to honor the popularity of the beloved pig than with a national holiday! Did you know that October is National Pork Month and that today is National Pulled Pork Day!?!? I know right, neither did I until recently. Sonny’s BBQ is the inventor of National Pulled Pork Day and today marks the second year that BBQ restaurants and pork lovers have been celebrating all over the world!
Last year, during the inaugural National Pulled Pork Day in Winter Park, Florida, Sonny’s made big waves by setting a Guinness World Record for the largest serving of pulled pork! It was served up hot and sauced on a bun and was a sight to behold, I’m sure!
I recently partnered with Sonny’s BBQ to get a taste of their pulled pork sandwich for myself and share some goodies with my readers so you all can partake in the pork-filled festivities! I absolutely loved the sandwich! There was nothing too fancy about it, just pulled pork in between a couple of slices of garlic toast but it was so good! It’s definitely worth trying for yourself and today would be the perfect day to do so!
Starting today you can enjoy some of the following:
$1 Pulled Pork Sliders (Oct. 12)
$1 OFF Pulled Pork Menu (Oct. 12-15)
Redneck Egg Rolls
Pulled Pork Dinner
Pulled Pork Sandwich
Sweet Carolina Sandwich.
