So unless you’ve been sleeping under a rock, you know that pearls have been making an appearance on just about everything lately! From sweaters to hats, and of course jeans, the classic accessory is on trend right now and I am totally here for it! I love how the dainty jewel adds a little posh to whatever it’s on. Pearls are so chic and girly so this is a trend I’m down with! Obviously, the pearl jeans make a statement all by themselves but to add a little more extravagance, I added a top that was not only asymmetrical, but had pearls all over the cuffs.
“Pearls are always appropriate”
So let’s talk about this top really quick. It is one of those asymmetrical, one button, off the shoulder, wrap around, tail in the back, difficult to figure out, type of tops. On the hanger, I loved it. After spending 15 minutes trying to figure out how to get it on, the love went to like! I still adore this top but it reminds me of the shirt Denise made Theo on the Cosby Show! (If you have no idea what I’m talking about check out this clip). But in the words of Jamie Foxx, I had to “make it do what it do, baby!” and semi-figured it out enough to pull off the look!
It did my heart some good when I looked on the Zara website and found that the model was rocking the shirt the same way I was, falling off the shoulders lol!
In other news, I recently purchased a few of the Fenty Beauty Mattemoiselle lippies and tried the “One of The Boyz” color with this look. They are super pigmented, super matte, and super bold! I usually keep my lipstick choices neutral so this bold purple-lilac color was definitely a change for me. In an effort to keep up with my style and beauty goals for this year, I rocked it with confidence. However, I will definitely need a full “beat” of my entire face when I wear this lipstick again. So that this bold lip doesn’t stand out all by itself, I’ll have the eyeshadow, lashes, kit, and kaboodle next time around!
Since pearl jeans and pearl embellished blouses are super trendy, I wouldn’t suggest spending too much money on them as they may fall off of the style gamut. While they’re in, have fun with them for the low! I got my top from Zara (linked above) and my jeans from Shein. The direct link is below along with other options for jeans and embellished tops that you may like!
So are you feeling the pearl on clothes look? How would you style these jeans? Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a fabulous week!
