Hi Lovelies,
Sometimes after a long day (or week) at work, if you’re like me, you enjoy winding down with a nice glass of wine, a good dinner, and maybe some soft music and candles. On other days, you prefer to meet up with friends for happy hour, good drinks, and good laughs! You know what’s better than happy hour? Late night happy hour! I don’t know about you but some days I don’t get off of work until 6pm, sometimes 6:30pm, and by the time I’m able to meet up with friends, happy hour is over. For those of you with crazy schedules like mine, I’ve got good news! Hawkers Asian Street Fare has decided to keep the party going and are now offering new late night happy hours from Wednesday through Saturday starting at 10pm to the close of business. They have also extended operating hours from Wednesday through Thursday from 11am to 11pm, and Friday and Saturday from 11am to 12:30 am. Soooo, no more excuses as to why you can’t meet up with the girls for drinks after work! Of course, I had to stop in to get a sneak peak at this new menu and with everything coming in at $3 bucks, it totally works for me!
These were the Korean Twice Fried Wings. They come coated in a Gochujang sauce topped with peanuts, sesame, and cilantro. Imagine a General Tso and Sesame Chicken had a baby… this would be it. The wings were super crunchy since they’re twice fried but super juicy inside. I enjoyed these the most out of everything we tried.
Next up was the Golden Wontons. These were a surprise to me. I was expecting them to be filled with some sort of seasoned cream cheese but they had shrimp in them which were just as good. They were fried to a crisp and had my favorite sweet chili on the side for dipping.
Chicken Eggrolls…nothing to see here folks. Just your basic, egg noodle wrapped chicken, cabbage, and carrots, There seemed to be an over sprinkling of five-spice that is typical but over powered the overall flavor of the eggrolls. Needless to say, I didn’t care much for these but if you really enjoy five spice flavoring, these would be your jam.
Lastly were the meatballs with curry sauce. Ehhh…I don’t know…these weren’t a fav either however, the late happy hour menu dishes are only $3.00 so it wasn’t that much of a loss. I just know the next time I’ll order double wings! Check out the rest of the late night happy hour options below.
We told the waiter that the one thing they’re missing is fried rice! I think that would set off the late night happy hour menu. Plus, for those doing heavy drinking, the rice would help soak up all the alcohol. Don’t ya think? Speaking of drinks, we did indulge a little. I tried the Tiger Sake Bomb! It was an interesting experience as I’ve never had one before but since I don’t care much for beer, I ended up ordering a glass of wine. Both of which were also $3 bucks!
Ooooh and of course we had Roti Canai! That will forever be my favorite dish from Hawkers. It was a given that the Roti be on the late night happy hour menu! I’ll definitely be back, late night, for the roti, wings, and wine!
Which items would you get?
Let me know below.
As always, thanls so much for stopping by!
Have an amazing day!
