Happy Monday! Why is it that people hate Mondays? They get the Monday Blues. Is it because you have to go back to work after a couple of days off? Is it because it means you have to work 5 more days before you can get another day off? What is it? Haha, who am I kidding, that is exactly why most people get the Monday Blues! I try to look at Monday as being the fresh new start! Trust me, Monday mornings are a drag for me too but I try to create short term goals I want to accomplish for the week on Mondays and as I knock them out, my week gets smoother! Speaking of Mondays, do you plan your work outfit on Sunday night or Monday morning?
The most outfit planning I do on Sunday night is in my head lol! I’m pretty sure pre-planning my looks for the week would make my mornings so much easier but I guess I’m a glutton for punishment! Perhaps I’ll try to implement pre-planning looks in the New Year! Nevertheless, on most days, I can throw together a look with the best of them, last minute! This look here, I was pretty proud of!
I’ve had this vest for a couple of seasons now but I think it may be timeless. I’ve seen it on so many people this fall. It’s warm but not too heavy, and it’s a great layering piece. Not to mention it pairs well with a lot of looks! And let’s not ignore my new favorite patent leather booties that I raved about in my last style post! I love these pinstriped grey pants for this look as well!
You know what else makes the Monday Blues much better? A nice cup of coffee! It is a necessity to get through the dreaded first day of the week! Are you a coffee or tea person? I like both but coffee warms the soul, especially on these chilly winter mornings!
