I think I’ve found my new favorite pair of booties for the winter! These patent leather booties are perfect because they pretty much go with anything! I can dress them up, I can dress them down, limitless possibilities! Plus patent leather adds a little zhoosh to any look! This vintage staple is always on trend. I distinctly remember a pair of patent leather shoes I had in 3rd grade that I wore just about everyday! Some things just never go out of style. You know what else never goes out of style? A smile!
I’ve had a very trying fall but I’m proud of myself for not letting what I’ve been through show on my face. Well…at least not most of the time. Life has a way of reeling you back in and I understand that every now and again, you’re going to go through things. Have you ever had a week or month…or year where you thought to yourself “WHY! I can’t take one more thing happening!” Well that’s been me lately but to cope, I’ve incorporated a few things into my daily routine to help me de-stress and decompress from life’s boomerangs!
1.) Get More Rest: Whenever I’m feeling overwhelmed, I like to take a nap or turn in early. I try not to think about whatever I’m going through before closing my eyes and I also try to make sure that bedroom is tranquil with no distractions from the TV. Relaxing my mind and body before going to sleep, makes me feel better about my situation whenever I awake.
2.) Manage My Time: There was a time where I tried to do to much at once. It was like I was trying to win the title of Super Woman! I’ve learned over the years to prioritize my time more effectively, delegate tasks to others, and built in time for self-care and relaxation. This has helped significantly with any stress I’ve dealt with.

3.) Just Relax: There are so many songs, catch-phrases, and bible verses that remind us that “Trouble Don’t Last Always”! Whenever I’m really feeling stressed out about a situation, I remember that it is only temporary and the “Sun Will Shine Again” on my life. Don’t get me wrong, I’m definitely a work in progress, but I have seen the difference in how I feel when I let things really get to me compared to when I take things with a grain of salt. The latter feels much better!
