Hey Loves! If you spend any amount of time on social media, you know that the “girls” are very complimentary! If ever you’re having a bad day, just drop a cute picture on Instagram and the compliments will start flowing in! “Werk it Boo!” “Too much Sauce!” “Those shoes though!” ‘Yasss Queen!”. It’ll make your day I’m tellin’ ya! Yes, people can be ugly, but people can be really freakin’ awesome too! I’ve had the pleasure of meeting some really incredible people via my blogging and social media journey who I now call friends and I’m so thankful because I don’t see how our paths would’ve crossed otherwise! I’ve made friends from all walks of life both in the fashion and food world! So funny because when I first moved to Jacksonville, I always complained about not having anything to do or any friends near by to call when I wanted to hang out. Let’s just say, I don’t have that problem anymore! Blogging has truly been a blessing to my life in so many ways and if the internet were to shut down tomorrow, I would still be content with all the gems I’ve gained from sharing a piece of my world on the interwebs’. Okay so enough of the mushy stuff, let’s get into this look hunty!!!
My friend, Will, who goes by @kingpoetic01on the gram, is a super creative guy! I love the way he takes something so ordinary and makes it extraordinary. I’ve seen him transform sneakers into statement pieces like nobody’s business! Seriously one of a kind pieces! I was blown away with this jacket he bodied for me! I call it my “Yasss Queen T” camo! From the Queen on the back, the crown over the T on the inside, and the splashes of paint throughout, this jacket is fire!
Of course, my favorite part about it, is that nobody else has it. It is a custom piece that I will cherish because it was made just for me! In case you haven’t caught on, the “T’ in “Queen T” is for Trice!
When I first saw this jacket, I wanted to make a statement with the entire look! The jacket gives me all sorts of urban vibes so that’s what I was going for with this outfit. I threw on this white, fitted romper, some thigh high boots, my yasss queen camo, and a belted clutch, and was out the door!
The stars were aligned because when my photographer and I got to our favorite grungy alley for pictures, there was new “SAUCE” graffitied on the walls! It was exactly what I wanted and needed for this look!
I don’t know how late I am to the fanny pack come back party, but I’m so here for it. It is so convenient having a clutch on a belt! It really does spruce up a look. Mine is from Steve Madden but feel free to check out some other varieties below.
Speaking of “Queen” I love the fact that were calling each other Queens as a term of endearment over calling each other “B’s”. Let’s keep that up! There’s nothing more ratchet than calling each other B’s.
So what are your takes on social media? I know it isn’t for some people and I can completely respect their reasoning behind why. For me, it’s been great! I can’t say that I’ve experienced much negativity and I want to keep it that way!
I will continue to be positive, as I am in my regular day to day life, with my interactions with others. I love to see everyone win! So on that note, Yasss Queen! Keep being awesome! As always, thanks so much for stopping by! Have the most amazing week!
