Hi Dolls! There are so many things to love about summer! Besides endless fun in the sun, longer days, the beach, and in my case, two months off from work, the summer sales can not be missed! I mean, there’s the infamous NSale at Nordstrom, the Semi-annual sales at Victoria Secrets and Bath & Body Works, and Prime Day over at Amazon, but your girl is here for the sales that fly under the radar! I scored some super cute items from the summer sales at Old Navy, Zara, New York & Company, Anthropologie, ShoeDazzle, and an old fav, Shein!
I got this cute, orange gingham top on sale on Shein! The prices on this website are already super affordable so to catch anything on sale is a WIN-WIN! I’m completely in LOVE with the puffy, gathered sleeve and the asymmetry! It is so dainty and feminine.
With the exception of this fabulous hand woven purse I recently purchased from Marshalls, the rest of my look included pieces I already had in my wardrobe. I am an advocate for re-wearing the clothes in your closet. Seems like a no-brainer right? Well, I’ve actually met fashion bloggers who wear an outfit once then donate or sell them right after. Hey, if you’ve got it like that, more power to ya! As for me, I’m going to get my money’s worth first!
In other news, summer break is winding down. The school supply advertisements have made that very clear {insert sad face here}! I’m officially two weeks away from returning to work for another school year. Why does time fly when you’re having a good time? To be honest, part of me is a little excited to get myself and my students pumped up for a new year of success!
I’m hoping to incorporate more teacher fashions on the blog this school year! When I first started High Heels and Good Meals, I had an entire page dedicated to my looks for the classroom. I called it “Teachers Have Style Too!”. I’ve got to bring that back to lend a little inspiration to my fellow educators looking for new ways to look fabulous at school!
