What’s Cooking w/ Trice: Korean Style Ribs

Hi Dolls,

Besides a chill in the atmosphere, one of my favorite things about fall is comforting recipes and watching football! There’s something about the cool weather that makes me want to cook up a cozy meal that will warm the spirit and put a smile on everyone’s face. With that being said, I love traditional finger foods like chips and salsa, for game nights but every now and again, I like to surprise everyone with a delicious dish that’s a little more involved but still quick and easy to make! Today, I’ve got the perfect 20 minute game-day recipe that is great to serve when watching football at home with friends and family. This is my recipe for quick Sticky Korean Style Ribs with Rice! This is sure to be a crowd-pleaser and with the use of Curly’s Baby Back Pork Ribs, it’ll be ready in no time!

If you cook Asian dishes often, the ingredients may already be in your pantry! It is very important to make certain you use them to get the full burst of flavor you’ll need for these Korean Style Ribs!

You will need the following:

Curly’s Baby Back Pork Ribs

1/2 Cup Soy Sauce

2 TBSP Rice Vinegar

1 TBSP Sesame Oil

2 TBSP Gochujang (or Red chili paste)

2-3 TBSP Brown Sugar (to taste)

1/2 cup Onion (chopped)

2 TBSP fresh ginger (grated)

4 cloves of garlic (minced)

1/4 cup honey

Garnish (optional)

Sesame Seed

Green Onions (chopped)

Red Chili Pepper (thinly sliced)

Every thing from here is pretty quick and simple, as long as you have all of the ingredients!

Directions:

1.) In a bowl, mix together the soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil.

2.) Add the Gochujang sauce!

***For that spicy Korean flavor that you definitely want for these ribs, you have to use Gochujang! It takes the ribs to another level that you don’t want to miss out on! If you don’t have it in your pantry, you can use a red chili paste or red chili powder instead.

3.) Next grate your ginger and add it, along with the onions, garlic, and brown sugar and whisk away until all of the ingredients are well combined.

4.) Before adding the mixture to the ribs, you want to rinse the ribs off. They come packaged in BBQ sauce so because of this you also won’t have to marinade them. The BBQ sauce will serve as your marinate. See, thanks to Curly’s the time it takes to make these ribs are minimal!

5.) After rinsing off the BBQ sauce, add the ribs to a baking dish and add half of the mixture on top. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for about 15 minutes in a 350 degree oven.

6.) Pour the other half of the mixture into a sauce pan, add the honey, and bring to a low boil. Baste the ribs with the honey mixture and put under the broiler for 2 minutes.

7.) There you have it! Some of the most flavorful sticky Korean style ribs in 20 minutes! Take the ribs out and cut them! They will be super tender, and the aroma will be enticing!

The last thing to do now is plate, garnish and enjoy! I love having my Korean Style Ribs with white rice. The green onions and red chili pepper slices add yet another layer of flavor, so I would advise not to skip out on the garnish!

I’ve always enjoyed partnering with Curly’s BBQ to bring you easy and delicious recipes! They have some of the best, authentic, hickory smoked BBQ available in stores! You can find Curly’s in the refrigerated meat case in your local grocery stores.

These are going to be the quickest, most tender, and flavorful ribs you could ever make. You all know I love a quick and delicious meal so I love using Curly’s Baby Back Ribs to help cut down on the time to make them, significantly! As always, thanks so much for stopping by and please give these a try for your next game night or for a regular week night meal! It is sure to be a new household fav!
