I have been having a great time trying out new recipes and this Cajun Shrimp & Sausage sheet pan meal is one of my new faves! It’s super easy and so full of flavor! Whenever I’m able to get back to my 9 to 5, sheet pan meals will be a new go-to! It can’t get much easier than tossing everything on a sheet pan and popping it in the oven! It’s even better when it’s ready in minutes!
My mom is from Louisiana so anything made with Cajun spices, shrimp, and sausage is going to be right up my alley! My brother and I grew up on these staples so when I saw the recipe from one of my fav bloggers, I knew I had to give it a shot with my own few twists, of course!
Here is what you’ll need:
1lb of shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 link of turkey sausage, cut in rounds
1 link of andouille sausage, cut in rounds
1/2 lb. of baby red potatoes, quartered
green onions (3 stalks or to taste), chopped
Cajun seasoning ( my fav is Tony Chacheres)
Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, Freshly Cracked Black Pepper
3 TBSP melted butter
Once you prep everything and toss it in the sheet pan, it’s easy sailing from there! Make sure your oven is preheated to 400 degrees F and make sure to line your sheet pan with foil.
1.) Melt the butter and mix in creole seasoning, garlic and onion powder, and fresh cracked black pepper.
2.) Add turkey and andouille sausage rounds to one side of the sheet pan.
3.) Toss quartered potatoes with half of the butter mixture and reserve the rest for later. Add the potatoes to other end of the sheet pan. Bake for 10 minutes.
4.) While potatoes and sausage bake, toss shrimp in remaining butter mixture. Add to sheet pan and bake an additional 10 minutes.
5.) Once everything is done, mix together, sprinkle on chopped green onions and serve!
My favorite thing about this sheet pan meal is that you can enjoy it in so many ways! You can enjoy it as is, over rice, or over pasta with a Cajun cream sauce! Like I mentioned earlier, sheet pan meals May be my new go to for a quick but flavorful dinner during the week! It literally couldn’t have been easier to make! The flavors were so complimentary and it reminded me of home! You can’t beat that! What are your go to sheet pan meals? Let me know in the comments below!
As always, thanks so much for stopping by!
