Hi Dolls,
Sometimes when you need to get away from the every day hustle and bustle or just need a little uninterrupted rest and relaxation, a stay-cation is just what the doctor ordered. I recently drove up to beautiful St. Simons Island, Ga. to spend the weekend at Hotel Simone! Situated only moments away from the beach on the Golden Isles, this brand new, all-suite, luxurious, adult-only boutique hotel made for the perfect weekend getaway!

WELCOME TO HOTEL SIMONE:
From the moment I arrived, it felt very intimate as if the entire hotel was reserved just for me! The beautiful interior designs of Hotel Simone are bright and welcoming with a rustic yet tropical feel. I absolutely adored the lobby area. As soon as the elevator doors opened, I was greeted with colorful furniture, beach paintings, plants, and huge windows allowing for natural light! It almost felt as if I was visiting a friend’s home. The hotel staff was beyond accommodating and very friendly and did I mention the on-site parking was complimentary? Sidenote: I truly appreciate when hotel parking is complimentary. I never understood why hotels charge for parking when you’re already paying to lodge in their establishment. But I digress. I was given a printed guide of things to do on the island as well as a run-down of amenities and what to expect during my weekend stay at Hotel Simone. In addition to that, I loved that we were able to keep in constant communication via their hotel text messaging service.

THE SUITE:
When I walked into my suite, it was love at first sight! Hotel Simone just screams rest and relaxation! Of course, I knew it was a hotel but it felt like a cute and cozy apartment!

My suite was complete with a kitchen that included a wet bar, bar stools, a Nespresso machine, and a full sized refrigerator. The separate living room included a sleeper sofa.

The luxe bathroom came equipped with deluxe toiletries, and the bedroom included a King sized bed with quality linen and a plush mattress! In addition to all of these things, there were dual televisions in each room with streaming capabilities.

As soon as I saw the plush white robes, I wanted to take my shower and jump into one immediately! I mean…who doesn’t love plush, hotel robes. I also loved that instead of an iron, I was provided a handheld steamer! When I turned down for the evening, I melted into the bed and slept like a baby, each night.

AMENITIES:
After a wonderful evening of restful sleep, I made sure to start my day at the hotel fitness center. It was very quaint but had every thing I needed to get in a full body workout including cardio equipment, weights, resistance bands, medicine balls, and of course televisions and streaming apps to keep me entertained while burning those calories!

There is a complimentary Continental Breakfast each morning in the common area of Hotel Simone. I loved the rustic look of the tables and being able to enjoy breakfast with a view.

The lounge area in the lobby offers a drink service and is another way to unwind while at Hotel Simone! Oh don’t mind me, just enjoying a mimosa! Hanging out in the lounge also gave me the opportunity to meet others who were staying in the hotel that weekend. I met a lady who checked out the complimentary beach bicycles each morning to explore around the island. Sometimes, they have live music entertainment during cocktail hour. It’s usually held in the lounge or in the rooftop pool area. It was a little chilly the weekend I visited so I opted out of getting in the pool during my stay.

Some other amenities I found intriguing included free wi-fi, pet-friendly accommodations, and access to The King and Prince Beach and Golf Resort amenities up the street.

I decided to check out The King and Prince Resort during my stay at Hotel Simone. They are sister resorts about 1/4 miles away from each other. I went the first evening to enjoy a night cap and on my last day to enjoy brunch before heading home. It was all an absolute delight. I learned that this resort is nationally registered as one of the historic hotels of America, having been around since 1935.

It also has a wonderful view of the beach from the bar as well as the Echo restaurant where I enjoyed brunch. Hanging out at The King and Prince rounded out the perfect ending to my relaxing weekend on St. Simon’s Island.

I could not have asked for a more relaxing way to spend a weekend. Hotel Simone is definitely a gem on the island and I would recommend it over and over for anyone visiting the area or even just wanting a quick getaway from the Jacksonville area. The accommodations were great, the suites were comfortable ,and the customer service was exceptional.
As always, thank you so much for stopping by!
XOXO
